alright, personally i think it's really odd how so many characters who do post IC dont remain IC. it is clearly stated throughout the series that electronics go hay-wire around hogwarts. ipods, laptops, and tv's, which i so often see people involving within their posts would not work. i think its just annoying, if you are going to post IC then stay IC. listen to a wizarding wireless, write in a diary with a quill, read books (which if you havent noticed have moving pictures... hint hint... like a tv). do something that just doesnt sound so extremely out of place, because ELECTRONICS DONT WORK AT HOGWARTS. thank you.

my character Charlie plays her CD's using magic...is that bad? *looks worried* because if it is she won't do it again and try to remain a little more harry potter-based

i mean i suppose if you use magic to do it thn thats a little better, but lik scarlet said, isnt that exactly the same as using a wizarding wireless? so why not just us that?

I think we should be able to use electronics, it's not like a huge deal! I know you're probably referring to me Scarlett because Claire uses an iPod, a cell phone, and who knows what else, but honestly, Claire reads more than like anybody on this site, she's always in the common room reading! It gets dull sometimes, you have to add something new sometimes to shake it up. It seems I just have differing opinions from everybody else again, but I don't really care, this is how I feel!

osorry claire! i actually wasnt talking about you at all! i was talking about other people more, like people who are always talking about typing on laptops or watching portable tv's. i wasnt referring to you at all and i really hope i didnt offend you! i was referring to the thing in general, not just one particular person. just because its not very hogwarts-y thats all. no offencse intended whatsoever.

O no Scarlett, OMG no, you SO didnt' offend me! Trust me, i've been offended by two specific people VERY MUCH on this site and it was NOT you at all!!!!!!!!!!! Doesn't even compare to how I was offended by them, lol, no you totally didn't at all I promise!!! I agree about portable TV's I mean, it's actually sort of funny to think about, hehehe! Laptops are ok, but to a certain extent. lol, gotta love the internet where all sorts of emotions and sentiments get mixed up because you can't express emotion, hehehe!
I actually don't remember electronics not being able to work at Hogwarts, to be honest. Not to say that you are like making it up or anything, not at all, just that I didn't remember it being mentioned. I haven't read the books in a while though, so that's probably why!

Wasn't that in Goblet of Fire. When Harry, Ron and Hermione were trying to figure out how Rita was getting all the information on private matters. And Harry suggested that she was bugging people. (Like using little mircophones) So then Hermione said that that couldn't be done because when someting like that was used on Hogwarts grounds it would go haywire. Am I wrong?

"All those substitutes for magic Muggles use- electricity, and computers and radar, and all those things- they all go haywire around Hogwarts, there's too much magic in the air. No, Rita's using magic to eavesdrop, she must be.....if I could just find out what it is.....ooh, if it's illegal, I'll have her........"

Well that ends that, Claire instead of reading try using magic you can use different spell that should spice things up a bit.

Nope, a watch doesn't have to be electronic. The hands and all can be simply mechanical- if it has a clock-face rather than a digital screen it's analog.

Really it's ok Scarlett I know you totally didn't mean anything at all by it!!!!! That was just me assuming things, which was dumb on my part. And Richard, Claire has enough classes she's taking, she doesn't want to practice magic any more than she's already doing. Reading gets old and so does dancing. I personally need to have things that I can work with, new things otherwise my posts get redundant.

Homework or study? Ok, honestly, I do enough homework IRL I don't want to RP about it anywhere outside of classes!!!!! I come on here to relax, not do more homework, or think about homework, or...ya you get my point.
