This is something that has been bothering me for some time now. Ive been on the site a while, I was here with another character not too long ago before I 'quit' and then came back. And since then I have noticed something disturbing with our Prefects and Head Boy/Girl.
People are given these positions, meant to use them. And I dont see a lot of this. They just wear the position as a title and then dont do the duty assigned with it. They are supposed to stop behavior against the rules like wandering after dark or going into the Forbidden forest by going in and bringing the students out, hauling them before a Professor or the Headmistress. Keep our students safe. Being a Prefect doesnt mean just sitting around. I mean, there is no law around here really. People arent doing their duty.
We have all this controversy over who will be Prefect, should 7th years be Prefects, what about Head Boys and Girls, and yet our current ones arent doing their jobs. Maybe specific things need to be spelled out for these people so they know their duty and responsibility. It would certainly stop a lot of the trips into the Forbidden Forest or the wandering after dark, which is against school rules in the book, and if we are going by the book we want to be realistic here.
My 2 cents. Melinda

Very good point, I wonder why this was at the bottom of the page when I saw it.
EDIT: Ah yeah, cause it isn't stickied, now I know.
