I'm just thinking, in the books it was uncommon that everybody had a power. Its just I'm only a vampire. But everybody else has a speacial power. I think people should earn the right to be an animagas, legimans, occlumes, ect. ect. It bugs me because the powers are speacial and you can't just have first years walking and saything they are a perfect occlumens. I think you should have to learn, be taught and have a history to have a power.

I agree. I'm even tempted to take up extra classes but then it would be very illogical for a first year taking up Muggle Studies, or COMC, or Divination. Oh well. Not everyone can be so talented. I just hope the others realize it since it affects the realism of this site.

I totally agree. I mean, no offense to anyone, but I saw a person (I do not remember who right now), that was a vampire, fire/air elementalist(I am not sure about the elements but he had more than one), parselmouth etc.
Really now, do you buy pwers in a market or what.
And another thing too, how can you be half something big and half something small? i.e. half pixie half vampire? It is illogical! Maybe I am being too muggle, I do not know.

I agree. A lot of students around here have powers they shouldn't. We have too many vampires, I can't even keep track of them. Then again, I can't really talk against them too much since I'm a Patronus myself. But then, I don't run around taking classes and stuff! I just help protect the castle.

Exactly. It's one thing to be a vampire, demon, etc. It's another thing entirely to be a demon taking care of magical creatures, eating dinner in the Great Hall, and protecting students when they go into the forest! People should at least be realistic with the powers that they have (as Sparkles is).
Also, multiple powers per person? Some are understandable, such as a Parselmouth vampire or some such thing, but when you've got four or five? That's getting a bit ridiculous. And I'd also agree with Narcissa on the "half-breeds," for lack of a better word. Half lycan half vampire? The species are supposed to hate eachother!
I definetly think that there need to be some limits put on the powers, possibly to the point of saying there can only be x number of a certain power at a time. Of course, then you get into the thing of who's active and such...
Just my thoughts.

I tend to agree. I think it should be a rule that after a certain year powers are available unless its something that works with their storyline Take this character for instance. She's blind...but by a twist of fate, the powers that be in the harry potter verse decided to make her a Seer. I talked it over with the headmistress and she thought it was a very creative and good idea.
but some of the things i see running around here are just....far fetched even in potter-land.
