Draco walked into the Great Hall, ironically just in time for his name to be called. Part of him wanted to bow, though he was too classy for that. He should have gotten an honourable mention, really though, like, if anyone would just look at him, they'd be blown away by his physique. Not to mention his face. Self conceited, yes, that's just how he was. Most of the time, anyway.
The professor quickly pulled himself out of his thoughts, and walked up to the table for professors. He sat down in his chair looking one way, he looked at his Mother, "Hey," he said to her, a rather bored smile glittered his features. Start of Term feasts were never all that great for him, and what would being a professor do to make a difference?
He turned his silvery blonde head over to the other seat beside him. He recognized that hair, the honey-brown colored hair, curly... A frown furrowed his brow, until he caught glimpse of her face. The male actually thought he would fall out of his chair; realization hit him of who he was sitting by. It was Granger. His mouth went oddly dry, was it really her? Why was everyone he knew still at Hogwarts? "Grang-" She could have been married- "Hermione?" The former Slytherin asked, his silver eyes locking on her, waiting for a reply from the woman.

Hermione noticed someone oddly familiar enter the hall, and she knew as the headmistress had announced his name, that yet another one of her former students was still around.
Turning to see him looking at her, she held back a glare, "Yes, Malfoy, it is me." she said quietly, as she returned her gaze to the students, spotting her little sister, (Helen Granger) who seemed to be enjoying herself.
"So you are teaching? That is very interesting." she said bluntly, as she looked at the sea of children with her hazel eyes, and then took another sip of her butterbeer.
Putting a strand of her tamed, but curly hair behind her ears, she sighed.
Who knows, maybe he has changed, maybe this will not be as bad as it seemed to be...Hermione thought, but it is doubtful that he changed...

Waiting, it seemed like forever until the brunette actually spoke to him. Though Draco didn’t blame her, he wasn’t exactly nice to her during their school years. In fact, he wasn’t nice to anyone. He didn’t really care, its not like they were any of importance to him.
“I should have known that you’d come back to the school,” Draco said, winking at Hermione; it was just how he was now, winking was a habit he had, no matter who he was talking to. “Are you Head of Gryffindor? I’m sure you would be, with that… Brain of yours,” he said oddly, taking a sip of water from the goblet he held.
Her hair seemed a lot less bushy then Draco remembered; it made him wonder if it was a spell, or simply the effects of growing up. He pondered it, then gave up, listening to her, it sounded like there was obvious hatred in her voice. Was he really all that bad? The former Slytherin’s silver eyes mellowed to a dull gray. You were pretty bad, Draco… Oh, and you still are… A voice reminded him.
“Yeah… Potions…” he said, oh, how hard he was to figure out, he thought with a roll of his eyes. His plain gray orbs locked on Hermione’s face, “what about you?” he asked simply. Maybe Muggle Studies, he thought with a smirk. Then the professor reminded himself; Hermione liked magic… So, it led him to think of the other class possibilities.

Narcissa was sitting in the great hall, listening to the headmistress and politely clapping when she called the names of the professors that would teach this year.
She scanned the hall. She felt like home. Her only son, her sunlight, her morning star, her reson of life, was a professor too.(OOC Oh my God! I would love to see Draco's reaction if Narcissa ever said this sentence to another living soul!)He teached potions while she teached Defense Against Dark Arts. Her two nieces were there too. A whole lot of Malfoys.
She noticed her beautiful son enter the hall. He sat next to her and greeted a professor there. Granger was her name if she remembered right. She greeted him and continued eating. She was silent today. Maybe because this was the first time she ever teached. She watched the hall again, trying to memotise the students' faces as most of them were going to be in her class.

Hermione looked back at Draco, as he replied to her question, "Actually, I was considering being an Auror."
Blushing a little at Dracos comment about her brain, she shook her head, "No, I am not, I would find that to be a bit- well a bit over-whelming, I have a lot to do these days." Hermione said, "Anyway, I think the position had already been filled before I even was guaranteed being a professor."
Smirking, as Draco said he was potions teacher, she let out a little laugh, "Figures." she said, at the thought of her old, and hated teacher, "Snape." she muttered under her breath.

A smile curled his lips as his mother greeted him, he'd continue their conversation in a bit. He hadn't talked with Hermione in a long time, it was quite amusing.
"Oh, I'm sure you could do that too," Draco replied, Hermione could really probably do anything she wanted to. That's what really annoyed him in school, how could she, a muggle-born, be so perfect at everything?
Was that a blush? Draco asked himself, his eyes grazing over her heated cheeks, a smirk weaved it's way onto his lips, oh, so he could charm her? "Ah, I would've thought you would be, you could always handle a lot..." The Malfoy said, somewhat in thought. "You're smart, and pretty enough for any position here," he said, waiting for her reaction. His gray eyes returned to a liquid silver.
"Heh, Snape..." He mumbled under his breath, he felt rather like Snape, with the Dark Mark burned into his arm. Though he wasn't planning on killing the Headmistress anytime soon.

Hermione looked at Draco, "It was a thought, it would have been quite interesting, I might look into it later in my years, but I think settling for teaching will do for now."
Gulping as he commented about her being 'pretty', she frowned at her food, suddenly loosing any appetite she had, "Well, that is nice of you, but I doubt it is true." she said, glancing at him.
The sound of Snapes name made Hermione cringe, a surge of rage filling her body, and she couldn't help but to spit out, "Planning on killing our headmistress anytime soon?!" she muttered under her breath, managing a glance at Draco.

He nodded, listening to what she said. He took another drink from his goblet, it was amusing they were having a rather civalized conversation. Usually the result was him calling her a mudblood, and so on.
Draco copied her frown, surprised at how she didn't take a complement. "What do you mean you 'Doubt it is true'?" The professor asked, quoting what she said. Just because she was Muggle, and he was a definite Pure-Blood didn't mean he didn't think she was pretty. Didn't the Weasel or Potty say that to her before?
"Puh, yeah right," Draco said, looking out at the students. As if he would kill the Headmistress. She was nice enough, letting him have a teaching position, and be the Head of Slytherin.

Hermione shrugged, she did not feel like giving him an explanation of everything that was wrong with her; but was very surprised that he of all people had actually complimented her.
Looking back at him, she nodded, "Well, that would rather rude of you, to go and kill another innocent person," she found herself saying, in an un-rude tone of voice, "I do have a question, why did you go to the dark side?" she asked, thinking why was she being so up-front.
Looking at him, not expecting him to answer, she wondered if he was still on the dark-side, and whether or not he joined just to prove himself, and if he regretted it...

"Yeah, no kidding... I'm not 'The Dark Lord' and in no way do I want to be him..." Draco couldn't stand the thought of killing children especially. Voldemort was just well, Draco actually despised him.
The blonde pondered not answering her, why should he tell Granger about something so personal, something only himself knew? His lips parted, and he locked eyes with the other professor. Should he? Why not? If he didn't prove himself, she could go off and tell the Headmistress some story that he was still evil.
"Okay," he breathed the word, looking down at the table. "At first, when my father said that I'd be joining him, I thought ya, okay, cool..." He propped his elbow up on the table, watching as the sleeve of his robe fell, it revealed the very top of the Dark Mark. Draco glanced quickly at Hermione, only to glance back at his arm.
"Then, when it actually came time to join him, I realized, well, I grew up too, realized more... It was, for one, too stressful, but, I didn't want to at all, and its not like I could tell my father I didn't want to join, I think he'd kill me himself if I defied 'The Dark Lord'," His stormy eyes rested on his arm, again looking at the mark. He pulled his sleeve over what was revealed of the mark, and gulped. Now how did he just say all of that? Why?

"I sure hope you're not the 'dark lord'." she said, pondering the thought, really it would be quite interesting if he was the 'dark lord' in disguise, but she knew the idea was all foolishness, just a funny thought.
Hermione listened silently, grimacing at the sight of the dark mark on Dracos' arm.
Speaking with one eye-brow raised, she did not exactly believe him, "So... you are telling me the truth?" she asked, looking at Draco.
Sitting up straight, she wondered if he had ever really thought the idea over, before joining the dark lord, if he mainly had joined to prove himself, or because of him having such a strong hate towards Harry.

"Well, don't worry, if I was, I guess I would've killed you by now," Draco replied, a shrug moving his shoulders. Imagine that? Him being the Dark Lord? Really the Dark Lord never died, and he replaced Draco with himself, simply using a polyjuice potion, or a spell? The blonde shivered, the mere thought gave him chills.
Draco let a laugh slip, he gazed in her direction, "You think I would have confessed all that and it not be the truth?" It was quite easy to tell he wasn't lying, by the way he uncomfortably spoke, the way he basically trembled at the thought of telling someone something like that. Let alone Hermione, he wasn't even close to her.
His stormy gray eyes left Hermione, an unnoticed sigh slipping from his lips. "You don't have to believe me," he finally said, he wasn't trying to prove himself to anyone - okay, maybe he was. "Just don't act like I'm Snape, 'cause I'm not, don't tell the Headmistress I'm going to kill everyone or something," he mumbled, trying to avoid her gaze. Telling someone something was harder then he thought, the thoughts of doing it again seemed crucial.
Sure, to every other person that would be easy as cake, but this was Draco, never had he truly told his real feelings.

Hermione smirked as Draco told her that she would have been killed by now, "Or he would have attempted to." she said, thinking about all the times her and/or her friends had escaped Voldemort or his Death Eaters.
Hermione shrugged, "It is just hard to believe someone can just change like that..." Hermione said, but quickly added in, "I believe you though."
Turning to Draco, she shrugged, "You always liked him." she said as she thought of Snape, about to add in, 'He was a good potions teacher though...' but she couldn't bare to compliment such a cruel person.
"Anyway, I believe you, I am not going to go running to the headmistress and say that you are planning to commit murder, when you aren't even thinking of it... I am not like that, you should know." she said, looking back to the students.

Draco thought about what she said for a minute, then nodded, "Ah, yeah, s'pose it would take a lot to kill you," he said, more to himself. She could probably make an entire new subject of spells if she wanted to, the genius.
"Change? I'm different now? I guess so..." Draco said, sounding rather dumb, of course he changed. "I'm not a bratty little boy anymore..." He allowed a smirk to slip on his features, "I am a man..." He puffed up his chest, speaking in the deepest voice he could muster. "Heh," he 'said' after, his elbow returning to the table to prop his head up, his gaze settling on Hermione's face as he listened to her speak. An actual smile highlighted his features as she said she believed him; that was one person out of the entire world.
"Hm, yeah, I did, I admire his Potions skills, and he favored me, who wouldn't like him?" His boyish smirk returned, like back when he was in Hogwarts. "Well that's good..." Draco said, that was the last thing he needed.
"I should know? Hm, yes, you tend to take matters into your own hands, literally.. Or your own fist you packed quite a punch for a 13 year old," he said, remembering in Third Year when she slammed him in the face for... Watching that Hippogryff's death or something? Well, something sneaky as usual.

Hermione blushed, "Nah... I guess I would need my friends too, like all the other times." she said, she didn't even want to imagine facing Voldemort alone.
Hermione couldn't help but laugh as Draco puffed out his chest, "Yep, your a man, and sure act like one too." she said jokingly.
"Who wouldn't like him? Draco, seriously, why ask such a simple question... Many people wouldn't like such a person like himself. His greasy hair, the pole that is shoved up his a**... excuse my French..." she said, just thinking about Snape made her want to puke.
Hermione laughed as he made the comment about her fist, quickly glancing down at her fist that was resting on her lap, "It depends on what triggers my punch... I guess." she said shrugging.

"Well, Potter can always save the day, The-Boy-Who-Can't-Die..." He smirked slightly, half expecting her to punch him right then and there. "Kidding...." He said quickly, maybe he was afraid of Hermione.
"Was that an insult?" The blonde said, a look of mock-surprise accented his features. "I am very much a man though..." He added.
He couldn't help but laugh, "Well... Uh.." The professor simply gave up, just chuckling about what she said. Ew, greasy hair. His hand found his own silky hair, yes, his hair was fun to touch. Draco couldn't imagine anyone wanting to touch Snape's hair. Ew.
"So, if I do something daring, your punch would trigger?" He questioned her, not stopping the amused smile that formed on his lips.

Hermione raised her eyebrow, "Potty? Uhm." she said, unsure of Dracos' remark.
Choosing to ignore Dracos question about her insulting him, she watched him stroke his hair, after she had made the comment about Snape.
After his reply, she let out a quick laugh, "Can't disagree with that one, can you?" she said, impressed.
Smiling at Draco, she laughed, and took another sip of her drink, letting a short silence grow between them. Then she answered, "Maybe..." she said, a mischievous look in her eye.

"Well, I will be the best Potions teacher and they shall all worship me," he said to Hermione, his voice laced with sarcasm, and mock-arrogance.
"No, I can't, actually, it's rather... True," a bemused look caught his features.
"Maybe? So that means I could get away with something?" Draco asked, not quite sure at what he was getting at, but, it came out how it did. He couldn't help but notice the somewhat mischevious glint in her eyes.
Ooc: Eep, sorry, bad reply. XD

Hermione was surprised, did Draco just agree with her? Yes he did... Well that is a first she thought to herself, rather pleased.
Hermione shrugged as she leaned back on her chair, "I don't know... depends I guess." she said, the mischievous look in her eyes not fading yet.
OOC: yeah mine isn't the greatest either, this is what summer does to me... fries the brain.

Was that doubt? "I will be..." Draco said, more to himself, telling himself he would. Wow, she touched him. That was a shock, Hermione was like... Well, he couldn't imagine her touching him. Not that he would've let it happen had it been first to third year, maybe even fourth, he wasn't much of a 'mudblood' fan. He couldn't imagine himself calling anyone a mudblood now, at 25. It was simply rude.
"Hmm... Depends?" He said, nodding his head slightly. His pale hand dug into a bowl of broccoli, and he picked up a mini-tree. It looked like he was going to eat it, as he brought it near his mouth. He mirrored Hermione's michevious look, then with a flick of his wrist the broccoli hit her square in the forehead. Not painfully, but, he did, throw broccoli at Hermione, immature, yes, amusing? He couldn't wait for her reaction.

Hermione looked at Draco, his hand reaching into the bowl of broccoli, and appeared that he was going to eat it, but to Hermiones surprise, he flung it at her forehead.
Hermiones mouth dropped, "How immature." she said in an overly annoyed voice, but soon enough she started to laugh, she couldn't keep her angry act up. The little piece of broccoli falling onto her lap, she picked it up, twirling it in her hands, and then took a bite of it; while munching on the broccoli she slowly inched her way closer to Draco, and closer to the bowl of broccoli.
"Tastes good." she said leaning over the table, and picking up the bowl of broccoli, and standing up, a smirk across her face, "You should try some." With that, she dumped the bowl of broccoli on his head.
Sitting down, rather satisfied, she laughed at the sight. If he was like the Draco from at Hogwarts, he would not be happy, but this was her chance to find out.

At her first expression, he really thought he'd get that punch they were talking about. She said he was immature, yes, it was, but, it was so tempting.
He chuckled as she started to laugh. Then she started eating it, which made him slightly amused. She was coming closer, what was she going to do? He wondered, though there wasn't too much harm she could inflict upon him...
"Does it...?" His mouth was soon the one to fly open, as an entire bowl of broccoli was poured over his head, the green vegetables pouring on his lap, resting all over him. His shocked look was priceless. "You just... ...Dumped... Broccoli on me," he said, finally laughing. He was tempted to grab a bowl of carrots, and throw those at her. Instead he picked various pieces of broccoli from his robes, delicately flinging them at Hermione.
Weren't they good examples.
"I can not believe you just did that," Draco said, laughing, he threw a piece of broccoli at her with every syllable he spoke.

Hermione enjoyed watching Dracos' expression on his face, and nodded as he slowly took in what she had done. Hermione caught one of the broccoli pieces that Draco had sent towards her, and took another bite, they actually were quite tasty, almost in an addicting matter.
"Great role-models we are." Hermione said, glancing at the kids, who were probably getting quite the show.
Turning to Draco, she smiled, "You can't believe that I did that... ha, well then I bet you can't believe that I'd do this."
Hermione stood up, her goblet that had been magically refilled with butter-beer in hand, and she took a step closer to Draco. Tipping the goblet over his head, she looked carefully to see the expression on his face. However, as soon as the liquid was about to drip, Hermione straightened the glass, preventing any of the liquid from spilling.

Draco had copied Hermione, now holding another piece of broccoli between his teeth. As a kid he was never fond of the vegetable, oddly now eating broccoli was rather... Addictive.
The blonde-haired man laughed simply at Hermione's words, "This is true," his silver-eyed gaze slipped over to the students momentarily. Some had amused looks dwelling on their face, while others simply looked at them in horror - as in 'what are you thinking!?'
"No way!!" Draco said, his earlier expression was nothing compared to the horror that now played across his face. As she stopped the pouring motion, a sigh of relief soon broke the silence between Hermione and Draco. He stood up beside Hermione, looking down at her. His hand felt around the table, until his fingers curled around a tin can. He wore a look of mock innocence, staring at Hermione.
The Malfoy now had a can of whipcream in his grasp, and was now pressing down the nozzle. Hermione's nose was now accented with a puff of whipcream. Draco chuckled slightly, it was an amusing sight.

Hermione enjoyed the look on Dracos' face, it was much more extreme then the previous. His sigh braking the silence, then he stood up looking down at her. Oh no... now I have got something coming... Hermione thought, but couldn't retain a laugh, this was rather enjoyable.
As Dracos' hand felt around the table, she was happy it went past the sticky syrup, that wouldn't be fun to have all over her. Then it reached a tin can, the contents inside being whipped-cream yum...
A smile came across her face, but was surprised when he only had put some on her nose.
With one finger, she took about a half off her nose, and stood up, putting the puffy whipped cream on the tip of his nose. Then she sat back down, took the rest off, and couldn't resist but to eat it, "Awe. I'm quite disapointed... I love whipped cream, I thought you would like clobber my face with it..." she said, now looking at the students. The looks on their faces varying, some where quite hilarious, Hermione found them to be really amusing.

Maybe he should have grabbed chocolate sauce, or maybe a pie to throw at her face, but, whip cream was fun none the less.
He decided not to smother her in it, only to see her first reaction. It wasn't bad, she ate it. Draco couldn't help but laugh. Then she placed some of the cream on his nose, and he copied her, eating it. When she sat down, Draco did the same, but with his legs pulled her chair closer to his. His pale hand found her chin, angling her face slightly. "Are you?" He rose a brow.
He squirted the fluffy substance on her face, making sure to cover every inch of her face, except her eyes, of course. An amused laugh escaped his lips, it looked like one of those masks that female's sometimes wore. The professor grabbed a strawberry, dipping it into her 'mask' of whip cream. "Are you happy now?" He asked her, still laughing at how she looked. He took a bite of the strawberry, and cautiously placed the whip cream on the table.

Hermione smiled when Draco ate his too, but was surprised when he drew her nearer, and then took her by the chin and said, 'Are you?'
"Ye-" she was cut off, because by that time, Draco had started his work of clobbering her face with whipped cream.
Hermione laughed so hard her stomach started to hurt, it must have been a funny sight. As she laughed, she secretly was thinking of what she should do next, but couldn't come up with an idea. By the time she had stopped laughing, still she had no idea, so instead she ran her finger along her face, and plopped the creamy substance into her mouth, while thinking.
"We need a camera." she said, as the thought came into her head, that would make a great picture.

When bringing her closer, it looked much like he was going to kiss her. But infact, he wanted to smother her in whip cream. She asked for it. Literally.
Draco was amused at how much Hermione laughed, though the sight made him laugh hard, too. She couldn't even see herself, but if she could, she may be on the floor. "Why, Hermione... You've never looked so... Delectable," A smirk formed on his lips after his statement.
"A camera..." A grin replaced his smirk, "Now that would be amusing, a very interesting picture... Who has a camera?" The male asked Hermione, though she wouldn't exactly know if anyone in the room had a camera. "Maybe some Dailey Prophet reporter will come, take a picture of you then write something bad about you...?" Draco said, he wasn't sure how nice the reports were in the Dailey Prophet.
He was a little surprised she didn't get revenge yet, his silver eyes scanned the table for 'dangerous' objects on the table.
