Sim started to explaine "well right now seng how it is the beginign of class we are learning the basics of how spells and charms work, Let me know if i start to loose you, u know u have to get into the inner workings of something before you can make it. then you go about designing a spellor charm then you tweak it and refine it untill it is near perfection. its not dificult to explain but onece you are int eh class and doing the work its not very easy at all, trust me.. " Sim gave a smirk, and turned to Aireona "how do you like the class? could you explain it any more on what i missed to raven?"

Aireona smiled, yeah, so it has not been long here, but it feels like home after a while." She though for a moment deciding weather or not to bring up the ravenclaw murder, but decided that tonight was for fun and that alone, "And its not R&D its Spell development" she said to Sim, then turned her attention to raven, "You should think of joingin the class, Arila and I are writing the text for it, if you want to check it out its on the 4th floor, and Professor Samantha Carter Weasley teaches it." She smiled thinking how fun it is to create the text, though she and Arila have not worked one it in a while.

"That sounds cool" raven said she looked up at the ceiling it disgusted her it was to pretty, she had still wish that someone would play some half desent music, But talking to Sim was mostly getting the thought of the music out of her head, and she was begining to enjoy herself

Arabella stepped out on the dance floor looking for someone to dance with. Tonight was the night to be her true self. her dress was brilliant and she had spent hours getting ready. Her black hair were in ringlets and her gold locket shone bright."here goes nothing,"she thought.

OoC: I don't mean to be redundant, but we can't dance until the Champs have opened it up, and most of them haven't even arrived yet, so we're stuck making small talk for a little while, lol!

Footsteps were heard growing closer to her, Aqua had an idea on who it was. Tom bowed and kissed kissed Aqua's hand, she giggled and smiled. "May I have this dance?" "You look..... just amazing I just can't think of any other way to say it, simply amazing". The Ravenclaw prefect said, looping her arm with hers. Laughing, Aqua knew that everyone had to wait for the Champions and their first dance. "Down boy, we have to wait for the champions, remember?" The Hufflepuff smiled at his anticipation(sp?) for the dancing to begin.

As Azlen heard Lydia ask about if she had a date, Azlen had to think about her response. After a moment she concluded that she would just keep it simple, for it was Christmad Eve and she didn't want to make anything complicated. "No, I didn't, but I actually wasn't going to come until about five minutes ago. Did you manage a date?"

[Narcissa Malfoy]

OOC Narcissa is soooooooo bored!!! Why don't the champions arrive? They should have been here by now. The small talk is the most boring part of a party! Anyway...

Narcissa saw Jack sitting alone, so she thought it would be good to go and talk to him.

"Here Mr.Pitch, have a drink. I guess it is hard to be chosen for a role without you having any say in it." she said and sat in a chair near him.

"It was difficult for me to accept the fact that my 24 years old husband was who he was, so to accept this fact for you that are only 17, must be more difficult.

However, if you have any questions or want some supprt, you are free to come to me. I know pretty much how to deal with people your age, remember I have a 24 year old son, an 11 year old daughter and a 17 year old step-daughter, besides I am a teacher so I worl with students 24 hours a day." she said smiling.

"I have to go now. I suppose I will see you later!" With that she got up and started to look around for any sign of the 4 champions. [/size][/font]

Tonk??' spyke looked over. 'sweet your aunts tonks!' she smiled.' ah dove has the list here' she held it up. 'where's the rest of the band!??! maybe i should play acoustic for some other song, if we don't have our other band members, kevin, you play drums, dove you can sing and i'll just play th acoustics if it need be.'

Narcissa made Jack feel alot better about his foolishness before. "Thank you proffessor." Jack said as she walked away. He then got up and went over to dove and grabbed her from behind and kissed her cheek. "Hey there." He whispered in her ear.

Lizabeth watched Jack leave and go sit by him self she wanted to go help him more but saw the Professor Malfoy started talking to him she turned back to the punch and poored another cup her feet were killing her 'thats what I get for wearing high heals' she thought to herself "so Richard anything new and exsiting with you?" she asked trying to make small talk and quick.

((ooc: i agree with narcissa, however, you may have noticd that on the last page before this one Josi Emrald arrived. She was the last one, wasn't she? I wasn't sure, so I provided music. So as far as we know, some people are assuming they've already danced. but yes, i think it's better if we get the HM's ok))

Dove felt someone grab her from behind. Using her instincts, she jumped, and put her hands to opposite wrists, ready to draw her knives. Then she heard Jack's voice, and relaxed, laughing. "You scared me," she told him. "But I'm glad you're here anyway." Dove looked back over at Spyke. "You might well have to do acoustics if Drake doesn't show up. Or I could. I play guitar as well as sing. And then I might have to sing all the songs, since I have seen absolutely no sign of Angelous."

He looked at her and smiled. "The only thing that I can remember is that you look amazing here and that I'm your date". "I can hardly controll myself and wait for the champions to come out and dance". "I guess that I should fallow the rules and wait, but you make it so hard and tempting that I can no longer look at you if I am to wait". He looked into her eyes and smiled and then jokingly turned away.

ooc- I'm pretty sure Morana and Colleen haven't shown yet, but maybe it is just a good idea to skip the whole first dance thing and pretend it is done since this thread is going by so quickly... One night it is like 2 pages long and then the next day its up to 13! So, I don't think this whole dance thing would work out anyway...

((whoa, sorry guys...this thread moves really quickly!))

Chris was surprised that the Slytherin boy who he had been standing next to suddenly started talking to him. He hadn't seemed all that interested in making small talk at first, but Chris was glad of the company. The Slytherin spoke of his date being late and a scatterbrain, and if Chris wasn't mistaken, he thought he detected that the guy had a soft spot for the girl.

I wonder if they're dating...

"Yes," he replied with a small laugh, "I'm waiting for my girlfriend..."
Before he could say any more, a Gryffindor he knew to be prefect appeared beside them and introduced himself to Owen, asking if he was Branna's friend.

"Oh, you know Branna?" he asked, surprised. He wasn't sure why it surprised him really. Colleen had loads of friends and knew Branna, they were very good friends. It stood to reason that Branna, being friendly like Colleen, had many friends too.

So it's Branna he's waiting for...

He wondered was there anything between the two- Owen had spoken of her as though there might be...at least on his part...and yet, from what he could gather, Branna was there with both Ian and Owen and that there would be another girl joining their party- from what he could tell they were going as a foursome of friends.


He was about to introduce himself to the two boys when Branna herself came over. She looked beautiful and was smiling as much as the last time he had met her. Chris couldn't help but think fondly of Branna because it was clear how much the Gryffindor cared for Colleen, even if he didn't know her too well himself. He watched her walk with arms outstretched and take Owen's hands and was slightly surprised- maybe he was wrong about the party of friends thing, maybe they were going out. But after she pulled Owen into a hug and then hugged Ian too, he realised that it was quite possible that they were just good friends. She was just a 'huggy' person. She hugged Chris too and he hugged her back, adding that there was no sign of Colleen so far.

When Branna disappeared into the crowd, he finally introduced himself to the boys.
"Hey Owen, Ian, I'm Chris, seventh year Hufflepuff. It seems you two are friends with Branna, she's very good friends with my girlfriend Colleen Hadley."

Suddenly, Branna reappeared, and asked a ton of questions in her excitement, which Chris merely laughed at but Ian proceeded to answer playfully. Not long later, a girl arrived that he recognised as Josi, the Gryffindor champion and another friend of Colleen's if he wasn't mistaken, although he hadn't met her before.

"Hello," he said, and offered his hand for her to shake. "I'm Chris Rice. Pleased to meet you."

[Richard "Wolf" Canis]

Richard finished his cup and poured another one, this time without spilling. He still had a lot on his mind adn barly caught what Lizabeth said. "I am not really sure. How about you?"

[Spyke O'Connery]

spyke shook her head. and called on the mic. 'DRAKE! come on your in the band too dude' she rolled her eyes turning back to Dove and shrugged. 'looks like your having a fun time there, Dove' she joked.

[Dovesary Aemeson]

Dove pretended to glare at Spyke. "Ha ha, very funny," she said, failing to control a slight laughter.

spyke smirked to her looking away and walking over to the drums beating them slightly.

Sarah smiled up at Remus and Tonks, glad they had come. "Hello Remus, Tonks." Her smile widened when she saw Kevin fumbling around with telling them about his new head boy ranking. Reaching out her arm, she wrapped it around his waist and gave him a small squeeze. "I am so proud of you. I don't know if I told you that yet." She stood on her toes and placed a soft, quick kiss on his cheek. She didn't want to give him a real kiss in front of his uncle and aunt.

When Claire joined them, Sarah turned towards her and smiled. "Hey there Claire, you look great! I am so glad you decided to come!" She smiled at Claire and pulled her closer to the four of them. Claire was, after all, family to almost everyone in the group.

[Ian Blackthorne]

As Ian stood around waiting for something to happen, he noticed that Chris was talking to him and the ever-silent Owen and hastily replied, "Hey Chris, I think I've seen you around a bit. So what do you think of the Ball so far? Oh, and if you haven't already figured it out, Owen is Branna's date and I'm Josi's date." Smiling slightly, he leaned against the wall as he waited for the Hufflepuff to reply.

Ooc: If the other two Champions are on vacation, the Champs that are here might as well quickly do the dance so the others can start partying-I myself can't wait.

[Arabella Black]

aRabella spotted her sister in the crowd with her boyfriend. "hi," she said approaching sarah," hey sarah are you having a good time?"

Turning when she heard someone speak from behind her, she looked at Aries. She pulled her arm from around Kevin and gave her sister a hug. "Hey Aries. I am doing great." Taking a step back from her twin, "You look great."

She grabbed Aries hand and turned back towards Kevin, Claire, Remus and Tonks. "Hey everyone, this is Arabella. We kinda just found out we are twins. Arabella this is Kevin, my boyfriend, Claire, Kevin's uncle Remus, and his aunt Tonks." Sarah pointed out each person and gave them all a smile.

[Benjamin Collins]

Ben had been thinking for a moment, "Well, I don't think that the engagement is off Claire, I just think it is posponed until further notice." He watched as Mai and Jake flirted with eachother.

[Owen Taylor]

The Hufflepuff Owen had introduced himself to replied in the affirmative that he was, indeed, waiting for a girl. Owen smirked and gave him a sympathetic nod. They were all in the same boat. Before the guy could introduce himself, a Gryffindor boy about his own age approached Owen and asked if he was the Owen who'd be part of the foursome with Branna and her friend Josi and him.

"That's me," he replied, reaching out to shake the boy's hand. "You must be Ian then, am I right? I don't think either Branna or Josi are here, but that's girls for you!" Even though he did look closely at the other student for a moment- he wanted to make sure Branna's friends would treat her properly- he was very friendly. He was glad to talk to the guy, and knew by his reputation that he was nice.

"Oh, you know Branna?"
Owen turned quickly to face the Hufflepuff again. Another person who knew Branna! Why wasn't he surprised?!

"Yes," he replied, and Ian explained the situation. "We're all here as friends," Owen added.

And then Branna came, running lightly towards them. She looked amazing. As she took his hands and pulled him into a hug, Owen, seeing how it looked to Chris by the expression on his face, wondered what she was doing for a moment, but then she broke away and hugged Ian too, and then the Hufflepuff, who turned out to be Chris; he guessed it was the Chris who was dating Branna's friend- Branna had spoken about him. For some reason, Owen was speechless, and just listened as Branna greeted them all. When she turned, he watched her get swallowed up by the crowd, and then finally turned back to the guys.

"She's always like that, loves social events, and she's like a butterfly- can't stay still or stay in one place...flits from place to place constantly!" he murmered.

While Branna was gone, the Hufflepuff introduced himself, confirming that he was indeed the Chris that was dating Colleen.

Owen had regained the use of his voice again by the time Branna arrived back, still smiling as usual. That made him smile too. He laughed his sudden laugh at her mock-annoyance at her height, and looked over the crowd for her as she couldn't see. While he searched for her friends, she asked question upon question in her excitement, and he listened fondly. She was a nutter, really she was. As Ian answered her playfully, he caught sight of Josi and turned to announce her arrival just as the girl herself came over.

Josi explained how she hadn't been able to find any of them, and told Branna she looked awesome. Nodding, he agreed rather awkwardly, but enthusiastically nonetheless. "Yes, you look really great Branna, beautiful.."

Then Chris introduced himself to Josi, and Owen did the same. "I'm Owen, fourth part of our group tonight!"

(ooc: sorry again guys...there was so much to catch up on...it's a bit crappy...anyway, there was a bit of speechlessness there to explain the 'ever-silent-owen-ness!)
