Finally Solana reached the 3rd grave, she was beginning to feel rather emotional.
She remembered clearly how Cedric had died. He was a very brave boy, admired by everyone for that.
Solana left a flower once again, sealing it into place.
Solana floated off in a daze, trying not to cry.

Harry visited the last grave - Cedric Diggory's grave.
"I'm sorry your life was cut short, Cedric. May you rest in peace," said Harry solemnly.
He touched Cedric's tombstone and walked away.

Ashley walked up to her cousin's grave as calmly as possible. She was doing okay, she hadn't started crying again yet. She looked down at the tomb stone and saw his name and tears started flowing. Ashley! She scolded herself. You're a professor here now, you need to hold it together. She fell on the ground by the tomb stone and started thinking of all the times she and Cedric had shared together.

*Angelina walked up to Cedrics tombstone. She was trying to hold her tears back. I remember when he died, she thought. Harry had saved his body. Dumbledore had told them all that Lord Voldemort had killed him, and tried to kill Harry. Nobody really believed Dumbledore or Harry. But, I did! I believed him! And, look who was right! Voldemort had killed Cedric! The tears began to flow. She didn't even know him that well, but, his death had effected everybody so greatly. I can't even imagine how Cho has felt all these years. It must be so difficult!*
"Thank you for what you did, Cedric. I will never forget it. You are so brave, competing in that tournament. We all miss you. You were such a great wizard!" she spoke aloud. She lay a single white rose in front of the tombstone.
I must have looked really weird talking to a dead guy I hardly even knew! Well, who really cares what people think. Cedric was so brave! she thought, as she walked away from Cedrics grave.

*Claire had promised Harry that she would visit the grave marker in his absence. She had vowed to him the night of her party that she would do that for him. And now the time had come to fullfil that duty.*
*She was quite emotional for having never known the boy. Claire had dressed for the occasion, wearing a black velvet fitted dress, a black wrap in her hair, and a black satin mini coat. Her neck was graced by a black chocker with a wine colored rose in the center. Her red hair looked lighter in contrast to the dark of her outfit.*
*In her right hand, she carried a red rose surrounded by pure white babies breath. Looking around, Claire's piercing green eyes detected nobodies presence, so she proceeded. Harry had made it clear that she must go alone.*
*As Claire reached the grave marker, her eyes began to well with tears. Harry had told her personally the stories of Cedric. He had been such a nice guy, the kind of guy every girl wants to date. But his life had been ripped away from him in the prime of his youth, not yet a young man of 18, Cedric had become Voldemorts second victim after his return.*
*Kneeling down gently on the vibrant green grass, Claire let a tear slide down her cheek. Everything was so alive in the graveyard. Grass grew, flowers bloomed, birds fluttered this way and that. Yet this was a place to honor the dead, to let them rest in peace.*
Hi Cedric. You don't know me, but I know you, and you know my cousin. You remember Fleur? She's my cousin. She's married now, to Bill Weasly. Amazing, isn't it? I've just talked to Harry, he's told me all about you. How brave you were, how you helped him to solve the second clue, how you and him were going to tie for first until...O...
*Claire looked away and brought a black gloved hand to her mouth. After several seconds of recovery, she turned back to the grave*
These are for you, Cedric. Harry wanted me to give them to you. He said that you deserved it, that you do deserve it. I think so too, Cedric because what you did was brave and slelfess and kind. I wish I could meet you, you sound like somebody who I could trust. I bet you need some company, don't you. I'll stay here for a while and we can talk. Or I'll talk, and if you want to interject, you can. My name is Claire DeLour. I'm in Ravenclaw, 6th year...
*Claire stayed at the grave for hours just talking. She needed to say so many things that she couldn't say to anybody at Hogwarts. Not because it would be rude, just nobody would understand. She had tried of course, but she couldn't lay that upon somebody, to listen to her as she talked through her problems, her confusions, her thoughts.*
Thank you Cedric, for being there for me. You don't know how good it feels to talk to somebody and have them understand. I know you understand, Cedric, you were the type of person who would understand.
*Gently, Claire laid down the rose on the marble in front of the marker. She would visit again soon and often, bringing flowers with her every time. Soon enough, Cedric would have flowers all around him. Claire put a spell on it to make it stay in place and be protected from the elements. Slowly, she rose to her feet in her black pumps. She turned towards the castle and slowly began to walk away.*
*But she stopped, and looked back.*
Goodbye, Cedric.
*Claire said in a melancholy tone, put on a small smile, and then after lingering for a moment more, turned around again towards the castle.*
*Today had marked the 8 year anniversary of Cedrics death.*
