Sarah walked into the library, humming her new favorite song to herself. It was Panic! at the Disco's song 'It's time to Dance.'
Give me envy, give me malice, give me your attention Give me envy, give me malice, baby, give me a break! When I say "Shotgun", you say "Wedding" "Shotgun", "Wedding", "Shotgun", "Wedding"
She laughed a little when she finished her tune. That part in the song always made her giggle, it was just such a funny line to put in any song. Her face was still showing a hint of her smile when she walked towards where the meeting was going to be held. Sarah was part of the new leadership that was getting situated today, but she was excited, and her mom couldn't have been more proud.
Walking back towards the tables that were set up in the library, Sarah felt her smile widen. She saw Kevin was already at the meeting spot. Walking a bit faster she came up beside him, wrapped her arms around his waist, and stood up on her tip toes to give him a kiss. "Hey there." Sarah was so proud of him too. Getting Head Boy was such a big thing, and Kevin deserved something good in his life.
Breaking from the kiss, Sarah smiled up at him and relaxed her hold on him. Wrapping one of his hands in hers instead, she smiled at the other prefect that was there already. "Hey Ian." She situated herself and then sat down on one of the chairs that were positioned around the table.

Getting an owl about a meeting for the Prefects and Head Boy/Head Girl, Colleen packed some parchment and a quill into a school bag and headed for the library. It's about time, actually...we haven't had any Prefects meetings in awhile...
Entering the library, she took a seat. She noticed that Kevin, Sarah, and a guy she wasn't really familiar with was already there. "Hey Sarah, how are you? I haven't seen you in awhile...congrats on making Prefect, though! And Kevin, that's awesome that you got Head Boy!" She gave them both a smile, proud of her friends.
Turning to the guy that she didn't really know, she smiled. "Hi. I'm sorry, but I don't know your name. I'm Colleen and I'm a Hufflepuff Prefect. May I ask your name?" He must be new too...actually, it looks like I'm the only one here who isn't a new position so far...

Ooc: Sorry for crap post before <_> It was midnight and I was tired ;D
Ic: Ian grinned as he recognized Colleen from the hallways, but she didn't seem to remember him. Oh well, these things happen Ian thought, and stuck out his hand for her to shake and said, "Hey, my names Ian Blackthorne, and obviously I'm the Gyrffindor Prefect."

Mai walked in, tired and drained. It had been a very long week. She wiped her eyes of sleepyness and took a sip of very sweet and semi warm cup of coffee. She noticed the small group of people forming in the library as she walked in. She walked over and saw Colleen, Sarah, Kevin, and boy she had yet to meet. She walked up, face in the cup, "Hey guys, wassup?" she said slurred. She took another sip before really coming out of the cup, "Sorry, I am dead tired and I needed something." she laughed, "I'm sure I act like Head Girl." she laughed a bit at herself.

Lydia walked out of her common room and down towards the library that morning. She yawned and rubbed her tired eyes. I wonder what this meeting is gonna be about... probably just meeting the new people.. she thought as she continued down the hallway. Finally, she reached the library and heard some people talking. Sounds like I'm not the only one here... she thought as she pulled open the doors. "'Ello..." she said sleepily. "How are you all... this very early morning?" she said with a goofy grin.
Normally, Lydia was okay with waking up on the earlier side.. but she didn't get much sleep the night before, and she really needed something to help her wake up. She glanced around and saw the Head Girl, Mai, drinking some sort of caffinated drink. "Ooh good idea!" she thought and muttered, "Planto capulus," and she held a disposible cup of hot coffee in her hand.

"Ok, let's all get settled. Looks like we have both Gryffindors, and half of Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. I guess we wait for the others to show."

Damon had been sitting calmly in the dining hall alone glancing through the latest issue of the Daily Prophet while sipping a hot cup of black coffee out of his new green, black stripped porcelain mug. He came to a rather peculiar article having to do with a the destruction of an American school or some such, when a letter dropped in his lap from above. He picked the letter up off his lap and carefully broke a wax seal that he didn't recognize. Unfolding the parchment flatly on the face of the table, Damon's sapphire eyes read a short message that summoned him to a meeting for heads and Prefects. This meeting was to take place in the library, which was not all that far from his current location. Folding up the parchment into a small square and placing it into the pocket of his house robes, he rose from his seat while grabbing his coffee and strode out of the dining hall.
Pushing open the thick wooden doors of the library, the 6'2 inch -raven haired slytherin stepped into the sterile, quiet atmosphere of the library. He was greeted by the stale smell of knowledge secreted from the pages of old literature lined up in rows on the bookshelves placed strategically along the wide walls of the well lit room. Damon enjoyed the musty smell of books that invaded his nostrils. The smell reminded him of his long hours hunched over a burning candle paging through loose faded parchment containing long forgotten tales of his ancestors. His long strides took him past long polished tables with various books scattered about it's face, and wide eyed students shambling through the aisles searching for reference materials to complete their class assignments. He nodded at a few students he recognized from his classes as he made his way to the table reserved for this meeting. Damon's loose house robes adorned with a silver coiled serpent patch on the left arm swished about his muscular frame as he made his way to the meeting place.
Upon arriving at designated meeting place, Damon glanced around the table at the other prefects and heads. His dark sapphire eyes fell into each of their eyes as he nodded to them and offered a polite [shadow=red,left,300]"Good Morning"[/shadow] to the entire group gathered there. He placed his mug of coffee and his paper on the table and took a seat directly across from Ian. The dark haired Slytherin took a long sip of his dark coffee- savored the rich flavour of the Columbian roast and sat back in his chair.

Settling back in his chair he noticed another pefect enter the room. He approached each of them individually and congratulated each of them on their new position. Damon leaned forward and set his mug of coffee on the polished table and smiled when Tom approached him. He listened to what the Ravenclaw had to say with a smirk on his lips, but after Tom finished his smirk slid from his lips and was replaced by a kind smile. He extended his hand in an offer of friendship and replied in a respectful manner, [shadow=red,left,300]"Hi, I'm Damon. And congrats yourself. " [/shadow]

As Colleen waited for the meeting to begin, she noticed a guy who went around to everyone, congratulating both the new and old Prefects. When the guy finally came to her, he smiled...asking how his little cousin was doing.
"Cousin? What are you - " but Colleen stopped herself before she could say anything more. Was it possible that her cousin Tom was at Hogwarts? She hadn't seen him in years - not since their first year of wizarding school.
"Tom? Is that you? Oh my gosh - I didn't even know you were here! I've been really busy with my classes and Prefect duties this year and I haven't even seen you around! What are you doing here? And you're a Prefect too? Whoa...you're a Ravenclaw Prefect just like..." Colleen paused again, suddenly aware that she was in a meeting and not at lunch in the Great Hall.
"Well, that's great. Good for you." Hearing Tom mention that her father was at Hogwarts as well, Colleen's jaw dropped. "Wait - my father's here? What's my father doing at Hogwarts..." Looking around, she quieted down once again. "Sorry. I can find that out after the meeting. Are we all ready to start?"

Mai nodded in response to Tom, "Congrats on getting your new position." She was glad Tom got a chance to show his potential as Ravenclaw Male Prefect. She took a seat next to the head of the table they had gathered around and looked over towards Kevin to see what his feelings were about the congregation.
"How about we have everyone sit now? I think we should get started without the others. If they were early, they were on time." She said, face dissapearing back into her mug, she looked up, "When you're ready you can call them to attention, Head Boy." she added appreciatively.

"Yes cousin, not what but who". Tom smiled. "Yes its me, who eles would it be?" "I love it here its great". "I've been to busy to go around looking for you". He said sadly. "I asked for a transfer and here I am". He smiled. "Yah I'm a Ravenclaw Prefect just like my mom". "As for your father I'm not exactly sure why he is here sorry".
He smiled at Mai. "Um well actuall I was already the Male Ravenclaw Prefect but it looks like I did a good enought job that I got to come back". "I'm sorry to hear that Rei didn't get relected, but I'm sure that Kevin will do a good job".

(I was waiting for a settling on Prefects, but oh well...)
Kevin listened and then decided to start the meeting.
"Thank you for coming on time. We do have a few things to discuss. First off, I think the most urgent part would be that of security. Recently, there was a murder in the Ravenclaw tower. A girl, whose name I wont disclose, but by now you should know, was murdered with an unforgivable curse. Now, the suspect had to be a student, and a girl at that, as the anti-boy gizmos weren't set off. And they used the girl's wand. I think we have a killer on the loose somewhere in the castle, and I want your opinions on who did it."

*Claire rushed into the library, having only just received the owl about the meeting. She gave a quick apologetic smile at everyone already seated and took her own seat next to Kevin. She smiled at Sarah, then quickly took out a pink notebook and a pink quill to take notes on. Claire listened as Kevin talked about the murder of the Ravenclaw girl and frowned. She'd been there, she'd thought it had been a dream, only to realize that it wasn't when she heard Dove scream. She shuddered at the memory of that night, but decided that she needed to speak.*
I believe that our primary suspect is Blaze Oceana.
*She said quietly. She knew full well that she had just accused the Slythering female prefect, and not just that, her cousin, of murder. But in her heart, Claire truly felt that there was cause for suspicion.*
But it also could have been any blonde Slytherin girl.
*She added, thinking about the evidence. Thought the interview with Sparkles had basically convinced her of who the murderer was, she knew that there wasn't enough evidence to prove her theory.*

Damon noticed the bloke who’d complimented him had immersed himself in conversation with the Hufflepuff Female prefect. He didn’t want to be a bother and interrupt their conversation since they’d seemed to be getting along quite nicely. However, due to his sensitive vampiric hearing, and not meaning to eavesdrop on their conversation –he heard some intriguing news. Both of them were prefects for their respective houses, and they were related! The wands in that family don’t fall far from the cypress.. Damon thought while smirking and reaching forward to lift his porcelain mug off the face of the table.
The sapphire eyed Slytherin took a small methodic sip of his rich, Columbian roasted coffee. His dark eyes closed with pleasure as he savored the warm fluid dripping off the miniscule buds on his tongue that absorbed the warmth and light flavouring of chestnut. He emitted a pleasurable sigh when the dark fluid began to trickle down his parched throat – tickling his soft skin with its silky texture. The pleasurable, sticky warm fluid that was on a course to his stomach faintly reminded him of how much he missed feeding off a live victim’s life blood. There was no substitute for the ecstasy that comes with draining the warm coppery ambrosia from the veins of a hapless victim; and when he’d last feed, only then had he felt truly alive. However, since he’d given up feeding off live victims in the attempt to retain his fleeting humanity, Damon had to compensate his lust for life blood with rich, lightly sweetened, dark roasted coffee. The transition wasn’t going as well as he’d hoped, his willpower was beginning to falter, but he was getting quite attached to the taste and feel of warm coffee on his tongue.
The Lids of Damon’s sapphire eyes slowly opened and the world around him had swum back into focus when The Head Boy began to speak. Damon’s milky white complexion – which was paler than usual, made his deep sapphire eyes glow by contrast, and it seemed to add an unsettlingly attractive quality to the 6th year’s handsome features. The Raven Haired Slytherin slowly swiveled his head on his muscular neck to face Kevin, and he focused the entirety of his attention on the boy’s words in an attempt to understand why they all had been called here this day. He listened intently to what the Head Boy had to say, and each sentence that left the 7th year’s lips caused his marble smooth features to crease into a steadily rising smirk, and the furrowing of his razor thin dark eyebrows. There had been a murder in the Ravenclaw girls dormitory on the Head Boys watch, and Damon had thought it quite the harrowing welcome to his new position. Especially since Kevin had already found some hard evidence that might link the murderer to Slytherin house, An Unforgivable Curse, a green thread, used the girl’s wand, no anti-male gizmos sounding off Damon began to carefully weigh his thoughts on the matter while taking another slow sip of his rich, dark coffee.
Suddenly out of the corner of his eye, he saw another girl rush over to the table. She gave them all an apologetic smile and grabbed a seat next to Kevin. Damon moved his dark blue eyes on the new arrival and slightly inclined his right eyebrow when taking in the girl’s appearance. She slightly resembled Blaze in a way, and she was just as physically attractive as his former Captain of the Slytherin Quidditch team. His sharp eyes lingered on the girl for a moment and he began drawing in her beauty before he was able to forcibly pry them from her. She must be Veela! I wonder if she’s any relation to the Captain. Damon thought curiously with a slight smirk adorning his thin, soft lips, and he peered covertly at her face from behind his porcelain coffee mug. He watched her take out a pink writing implement and a pink notebook. She likes herself the color pink, she does. Damon thought humorously to himself and he laughed softly, while continuing to smirk. When she opened her mouth to speak, Damon was quite curious as to what she’d have to say. However, what she’d said almost made him spit a mouthful of coffee all over the table in front of him. His dark blue eyes widened with surprise and he set his mug down on the polished surface of the table. He was quite taken aback with this girl’s accusation, his shocked opened mouth expression, and his wide eyed look were apparent evidence of that. He shook his head in bewildered shock, his dark silky hair spilled over the left side of his handsome face, the raven haired Slytherin then looked around at his fellow prefects and heads, and said, [shadow=red,left,300]“W-what?” [/shadow]His question had been rhetorical in nature, so listened to her when she added another statement to the first. Damon eased himself back into his soft chair and let out a troubled sigh, here it was, they were pointing the finger at Slytherin yet again. Firstly, he hadn’t believed the veela had accused Blaze, and now she went on to accuse all blonde Slytherin girls; this was too much. He comfortably positioned one of his muscular legs over the other; he then placed his elbow on the table and leaned forward to rest the left side of his face in his palm. He wore quite the bored expression on his handsome face, though the girls words did intrigue him. The Slytherin male Prefect decided it was time to speak his piece. He looked the ravenclaw female directly in the eye and spoke in a powerfully deep voice, [shadow=red,left,300]“I’m quite interested to know how you came to this conclusion. And why you suspect Slytherin over Ravenclaw. The murder had been committed in the Ravenclaw dorms had it not, and the passwords to the dorms are supposed to be kept secret.”[/shadow] Damon methodically pulled his head from his palm, then he straightened himself in his chair, and there was a fiery defiance that swept across his features as he continued, [shadow=red,left,300]“What had been the motive behind the murder? We need to find out the reason she’d been murdered in the first place, not begin the finger pointing.”[/shadow] A kind smile brushed the sapphire eyed male’s soft lips, and he added, [shadow=red,left,300]“I hope no offense is taken, I’m merely stating my thoughts on the order of things.” [/shadow]Damon’s deep voice held kindness and the inflection of his voice indicated honesty.

To be honest, Kevin was shocked that Claire had already accused Blaze. He didn't want to believe that the Slytherin girl was capable of such an act.
"Well, Damon, in all fairness, I am reserving judgement and accusations till I can get every bit of detail. But from what we know, with the aid of a few Slytherin students, yes the Ravenclaw password was recently change eariler, however, it was the ignorance of some of our first-years that led to a group of Slytherins learning the new password. Those first years will be dealt with, however, I firmly believe that we need to get to the bottom of the murder first. The last time a murder really occurred to a student, was roughly 60 years ago, and the culpirt was mistakening let go, with an innocent student paying the price. We will not have that here."

*A rather handsome prefect sat near her on the table. He was a Slytherin, she could tell by his robes. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see him looking at her intently. He pulled out a pen and began drawing something. Claire ignored it, focusing on the matter at hand. Immediately after she said that she thought Blaze had murdered the Ravenclaw girl, the Slythering rebuted. Kevin came to her defense, of course, to which Claire was grateful.*
Kevin, I'm not going to just sit around and discuss this and get nowhere. She was murdered Kevin, we can't just wait for somebody else to get killed!
*She thought quickly to Kevin, and then spoke out loud to the rest of the leaders present, but pointedly more at the Slytherin male prefect.*
I am not prejudice against Slytherin, if that's what you're insinuating. There is sufficient evidence that the murderer was, in fact, a Slytherin's doing. It had to be a girl because the stairs were perfectly intact when everybody came down. And it was a blonde because there was a blonde hair found on the wand used to perform the murder. The victim had black hair, which clearly cannot be confused for blonde. And I'm sure you'd love to know what evidence I'm talking about when I refer to "sufficient evidence" that a Slytherin performed the murder. In the girls dorm, a green thread was found on the wand. This green thread obviously belonged to a Slytherin uniform because of it's nature. The Hogwarts robes are made of a special material. The dye used to make the colors for our uniforms contains a one of a kind trait that no other dye possesses and cannot be replicated. It is incredibly expensive to make and isn't sold to anybody but Hogwarts. The thread has been tested, and it is made of the very material I've just spoken of.
*A smile entered Claire's smoothe face. The boy seemed to look at her strangely, as if he recognized her.*
You see it don't you, the resemblence. I am Blazes cousin. I have nothing against her, my accusations are based off of the evidence we've collected, and trust me, we were thorough in our search and didn't easily narrow down the House to Slytherin. It's not like we wanted to say it was Slytherin, all we want is to know who killed this girl. As for a motive? A fellow Ravenclaw told us she had observed Blaze and the victim together several times, and had seen the victim keeping a journal. This journal has been confiscated, and several pages are ripped out of it. After reading through this journal, we've discovered that the pages missing contain crucial information, but what it is we do not know. We've yet to find these pages, but we do know that Blaze wanted them. Also, Sparkles, the guard patronus for Hogwarts saw a blond Slytherin girl run out of Ravenclaw Tower at the estimated time of the murder. Sparkles said the girl was in a hurry to leave and was stashing away her own wand.
*Claire crossed her arms and looked at the Slythering male prefect.*
Please don't think that I want to accuse my own cousin of murder. I don't! We've only just met this year, I want to get to know her better! But the evidence points to a blond Slytherin girl.
