Josi had been sitting at the Gryffindor table, not eating, just watching. She was still debating over the decision of entering the Quad-Wizard Tournament, she had heard all the stories, and she knew that the chances of getting hurt were high; this worried her. Although she was the type who didn't mind a good scare every once in a while, and liked to take a challenge, she was still a bit shaky about the whole ordeal.
I wonder what tasks I will have to complete... I wonder if I will even be brave enough to do them... Josi laughed to herself, I wonder if I will even make it... the chances are slim, very slim.
Josi paused her thoughts to look at all the students who were dropping their names into the goblet, she was doubtful that she would be chosen. Look at all of them; it would be a miracle if I was chosen... But I guess it's worth a try, but what happens if I make a fool out of myself? What happens if I regret entering? You won't. Josi tried boosting up her confidence, she really did want to give the tournament a try, even if her chances were low at getting in.
Taking a deep breath, she stood up, holding the small piece of parchment, that in small hand-writing read, 'Josi Sky Emrald. Gryffindor. Sixth Year.'. Walking over to the goblet of fire, she stopped before the age line, still cautious about it, even though she was sixteen. Exhaling the air that filled her lungs, she closed her eyes, and took a single step across the line. She made it. Opening her dark blue eyes, she faced the goblet of fire, the blue flames dancing excitedly. How beautiful... Josi thought, just staring at it with amazement.
Tucking her dark brown hair behind her ears, and straightening up her back, she forwarded toward the goblet. Raising her hand, she placed it above the flames, and dropped the parchment. As soon as it left her soft hands, it had disappeared, just like the air had devoured it. Josi stared at the air above the flames, she had seen the fire sort of snatch the paper away a few times now, but this time it just seemed so much different, so real.
She had entered. The thought started to scare her, but she was still excited, the experience would be one in a life time; she knew she had made the right decision. A small smile appeared on her pale pink lips, and she turned around, and calmly walked past the age line. Taking one glance back at the goblet, Josi walked out of the Great Hall, and headed toward the Gryffindor common room, she wanted some 'quiet' time.
