Amber waited for the music to start. Man it was ltaking a long time! Suddenly, she heard a commotion and looked to see what it is. Apparently there was going to be a fight, but she guessed now that everything was settle. She then heard Spyke over the microphone again, telling everyone to pay attention. Yes! It was going to start in a little while!

She looked around the room and saw Jameson all alone, nobody to talk to. Hm, probably he needs some company? The first year walked over to the boy and replied, " Erm...hi Jameson ".

[Richard "Wolf" Canis]

"Thanks Lizabeth."

[Jacob Rossum]

Jacob was leaning against the wall and was looking around. I wonder if Mai is here yet. He thought to himself.

[Erica Malfoy]

Erica Malfoy walked into the room in her light blue dress and white shoes. she saw her mother and smiled at her. she hoped someone would ask her to dance.

[Mai Gamit]

Mai had walked into the Dance Hall, not in anything particularly extravagant. It was only a simple light sky blue dress the was form fitting, sparkled, and just came to the floor. Her purple hair was lightened to a lighter shade, not so deep.

She knew she was a bit behind schedual. She tried to see if anything had started offically yet. Seeing that everyone was just talking, she calmed a bit.

She looked over and saw Jake. She smiled at him, "Thanks for coming with me on such short notice, what do you think?" she asked taking a little twirl for him to see her in her dress. She came around smiling more then she had in the past few days.

[Lizabeth Riddle]

Lizabeth looked back at Richard "your welcome you were a little to far deep into thought" she said looking around as the room started to fill up she spotted Mai 'theres one champion weres the other three' she thought looking around more trying to find Morana, Josi and Colleen who seemed not to be there yet.

[Jacob Rossum]

Jake turned his head and saw Mai, "You look amazing," He said, "And it was no problem, I didn't have a date anyway," He said with a laugh.

[Professor Remus Lupin]

Remus Lupin walked into the Dance Hall looking very out of his element. He had never really gone to the dances when he had been at Hogwarts. Smiling at Tonks, who had her arm linked with his, he looked around for Kevin. Spotting him, he smiled and gave hima small wave. Turning to Tonks, he asked, "Do you want something to drink?"

[Branna Prewett]

The hall was packed, and Branna's bright blue eyes twinkled and danced as she cast them over the room, searching certain people out among the throngs of beautiful girls and well-dressed boys. Her excitement came off her in waves as she moved through the crowd, the silver on her delicate dress shimmering with every step. She looked small and delicate in the dress she had chosen, but beautiful. She wore elegant heels and simple silver jewlery to set off the dress, but the most noticeable thing she wore was her smile, one that reached right to her eyes.

Eyes finally lighting on one of the people she sought out, her face lit up still further with happiness and also a degree of surprise, for with Owen was Ian, and she had planned to introduce them tonight, as they were going in a group as friends, but she didn't think they already knew one another. And...beside them too was Chris, Colleen's boyfriend!

She ran lightly forward, arms outstretched, and reached them just in time to hear Ian introduce himself to Owen and ask if he was her friend. By the looks of things, Owen had also just introduced hiself to Chris too. What a fortunate coincidence! She grabbed Owen's hands and squeezed them in excitement before pulling him into a tight hug. Releasing him, she hugged Ian with the same enthusiasm, and then spontaneously hugged Chris too.

"Hey guys!" she laughed. "Yes Ian, you had the right Owen, but it looks like I don't need to make introductions! I'm late, but it looks like I'm not the only one! I haven't spotted Josi, Colleen, Jacklyn...but there's Mai!" She smiled and said "be right back!" and made her way over to the Ravenclaw, embracing her. She had smiled and said hello to everyone she had passed, greeting those she knew by name, and still greeting those she didn't anyway.

"Hey Mai! How are you?" she asked, smiling. "You look beautiful as always," she told her in genuine admiration.

Mai put her hands behind her back and bit her lip, she couldn't help it, she was just a bit nervous. She also didn't know what to say to him, he almost stunned her with who he was.

She smiled, "I want to thank you for helping me. Just in general, I know we haven't really talked about it, but you kind of saved me from my self with out even trying." She smiled coming to stand next to him and just hold onto his hand. Her eyes were level with his shoulder in height.

Mai saw out of the corner of her eye her friend Branna and heard her comment as well as feeling her binding hug, "Thanks Branna! You look tres beau as well!" She smiled and waved her hand a bit out of randomness.

[Magyn Bellus Wandwip]

Magyn looked over her sholder and saw Jordan walking into the hall looking over all the people, he was breathing heavily, 'i wonder what that is all about?' magyn wondered and walked over to him and said, "hello there, i was starting to hink you wern't going to show up, you look nice" she said commenting on his attire.

[Jacob Rossum]

Jake smiled at her, "It was my pleasure,"

"OH well i will have to sit this one out again" said ashley sadly

Mai smiled feeling mischevious, "So have you signed up for any of those classes yet? I believe it was ancient creatures, was it?" she smiled and jeered at Jake, trying to get a rise out of him.

[Azlen Black]

Azlen stumbled in to ball late. She had decided to come about a minute ago and was only here this fast because of magic and being a metamorphmagus helped a lot too. She had decided to change her normally red hair to a dark red-brown and had left it down, where it flowed down mid-back. She had on her brown halter dress and a pair of gold heels. She had no make-up on, with the exception of some clear lip gloss. She thought she had done a pretty good job of getting ready and looking decent in such a small amount of time.

She looked around and was in awe. The enchantments that Professor Briarson had done were amazing. She then looked around at her fellow students and noticed that the dancing hadn't even started. Maybe I'm not that late after all. She thought as she noticed Ian talking to Claire and someone she didn't know. She had told him that she wasn't coming and didn't want him to feel awkward for being Josi's date. Josi needed a date and Ian was a good friend. Why should Azlen be worried or mad. She walked over to an empty table and waited until someone she knew (other than Ian) arrived.

Tonks smiled as she walked in with Remus. Now that he was a professor, she'd probably be spending more time here. Nodding in response to his question, she went to find a table.

*Claire smiled and blushed as Ben told her she was beautiful.*

[Katy J. Salmalin]

Katy was distracted from her conversation with Hitoshi (ooc: i'll start it up again when he's back on) by a group of kids fighting, and b y the time they were finished, she'd forgotten what she was doing. Typical me, she thought. Then she noticed two more people enter, looking vaguely familiar. Katy made her way over to them. "Hi, I'm Katy Salmalin, Charms Professor here at Hogwarts. You must be Nymphadora Tonks, I've seen you on some of my visits to the Ministry. And you would be....?" she trailed off, looking at the man Tonks was with.

Jake smirked at Mai, "Ha ha very funny," He remembered the first time he talked to Mai, he had messed up on naming one of the classes.

[Benjamin Collins]

"Thank you," Ben said as he brushed down his jacket, "So, have you noticed that Mai isn't here with Rei?"

[Erica Malfoy]

since no one was asking Erica to dance. she spotted her dancing partner Ashley." hey wanna go dance? we dont need a guy to dance w/, we have each other."

Yes I have, and that Jake guy seems to be flirting with her again, but I can't really tell from here.

*She whispered back. Poor Rei had seen the entire thing when Mai had first met Jake.*

I wonder if the Champions are ever going to start the dance, this is getting sort of redundant.

*She frowned as she looked around to see which of the Champions and there dates were present.*

[Benjamin Collins]

"Well, Claire, I think they came...together, as, uh, dates." Ben said as he looked over towards Mai and Jacob. "But yes, they should start soon. It's been how long, and this thing has barely started."

[Branna Prewett]

"Oh Mai!" Branna laughed, letting her friend go. She watched the random hand-waving, amused.

"I'm sorry, that's so rude of me, I haven't even introduced myself!" Branna exclaimed, startled, after watching the banter between Mai and her date for a moment, glad that Mai really seemed to be enjoying herself. She held out her small hand to the boy.
"I'm Branna," she introduced herself, and then smiling at Mai again, she gestured vaguely back to where Owen, Ian and Chris stood. "I've got to go back over. But have a good time you guys!"

With a small wave, Branna turned and walked back over to the group she had left a few moments ago. A smile played accross her pink lips. She wondered at Mai being there with someone who wasn't Rei, but she had heard rumours. She was a little surprised, of course, but the most important thing was that Mai seemed happy, and seemed to be enjoying herself. She would tell them when she was ready.

Smiling brightly at the trio, she spun around, checking the room for any sign of the others. Of course, at a mere five foot, she couldn't see much, despite the fact that she wore heels today, making her just over five foot two inches. Sighing in mock-annoyance, she playfully patted her head and then reached up on tip-toe and patted the heads of the other three to emphasise how small she was compared to them. "I can see nothing!" she exclaimed dramatically, laughing at herself. "has anyone else arrived? Are you guys enjoying the ball? And aren't the decorations just fabulous? They're so beautiful!" In her excitement, question upon question came tumbling out.

"Sure that will be fun" said ashley soo happy
